Why choose APR?

APR makes quest guidance available without selling routes. The download includes the routes available in the project; you can inspect their code, report issues and help improve them. You do not need to purchase access to APR’s catalog.

Follow step instructions and the navigation arrow, organize custom paths, and adjust automation and appearance. To create your own routes, APR Route Recorder provides a visual workshop and Lua editor. Conditions, step order and filler objectives still need review and in-game testing.

Blizzard’s rules: free addons and accessible code

Blizzard’s official addon development policy requires free distribution, prohibits premium versions with paid features, and requires code to be publicly accessible without hiding or obfuscation.

APR distributes its addon and routes for free with open code. Decisions about a product’s compliance and enforcement of this policy belong to Blizzard.

A free alternative to a Zygor subscription

Zygor advertises a free trial followed by a subscription for access to its full offer. APR lets you follow the routes in its catalog without subscribing or buying the included guides. Start by checking the APR routes available for your character.

An alternative to paid RestedXP guide packs

RestedXP distinguishes its free addon from guides sold separately; some guides are also free. With APR, every route distributed in the project is included for free: there is no APR pack to buy to use those routes.

Install the APR release for your client and its LibTaxiData dependency, then open /apr route. Choose a route compatible with your character. The catalog covers Retail and WoW Forever; check the faction, level and prerequisites for the content you want to play.
